Task requirements

UK's National Health Service completed 70 years in 2018. With advancement in treatments, standards and policies with time, coupled with growing, ageing population , pressure facing services are greater than ever been.

With the time the board are still low by historical standards,  but rising and slowly growing financial budget, The objective of NHS is to take practical action, top strain off its various departments in the upcoming years.

The challenges are constantly growing for NHS.

You are asked to review the accompanying NHS case study, to prepare a 2000 word portfolio for the Head of England's NHS HR department. The portfolio focuses on following 3  strategic People Management areas being addressed by NHS currently.

Area 1: Leadership and Management

Area 2:Training and Development

Area 3:Talent Management

Consideration should be given to:

• Key theoretical models within 3 areas and their application in current NHS scenario.
• Role and priorities of NHS management and HR function to support management.
• Various internal and external influences on the 3 specific areas.
• Make recommendations on portfolio highlights.

Notes for Guidance

The portfolio should be in a report format which consists of 3 sections. You are required to make relevant recommendation and determine the ways for NHS to keep best practices and improvising areas which are more problematic.
